YouApp Privacy Policy

Last updated October 19, 2026

This privacy policy says what YouApp, LLC (“YouApp”, “we”, “us”) collects, why, who else handles it, and what you can ask of us. It covers youapp.vip, the YouApp app, and every artist’s app and site that YouApp builds and runs.

Who we are

What we collect, and why

If you are a fan in an artist’s app or site: your account (email, name, photo), what you do in the app (plays, likes, comments, messages, purchases, and the posts and pushes you open), and your device’s push token. We use it to run the app, to show the artist how their app is doing, and to keep it safe. The artist sees your activity in their app, as their app’s privacy setting allows. They never see your card details.

If you are an artist or run an artist’s app: your account, what you put in your app, your billing details through Stripe, the agreement you signed, and the details we need to pay you. We use it to build and run your app, to bill you, and to pay you.

If you visit youapp.vip: if you say yes when we ask, we count which pages and features are used, with our own analytics. We do not use Google Analytics or advertising trackers.

How we find artists

We look for independent artists who might want their own app. We read public pages: YouTube, Wikidata, MusicBrainz, link pages (such as Linktree), artists’ own websites, and the public social profiles where we come across an artist. From them we keep the artist’s name, public links, audience size, and the business email address they publish.

We may email that address about an app of your own. Our emails say where we found you, whenever our records show it. Reply “stop” and we never write again; we keep the address only on our do-not-contact list, so that it stays that way. We also note when an email we sent is opened or answered.

Help from AI

We use Gemini, on Google Cloud, to sort replies to our emails and to draft answers. A person reads every answer before it is sent. Nothing is sent by the AI on its own.

Who else handles your information

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. These services handle it for us, only to do their part:

  • Google Cloud and Firebase: hosting, sign-in, storage and our database
  • Stripe: card payments and billing
  • Apple: in-app purchases and the App Store
  • RevenueCat: in-app subscriptions
  • Mux: video
  • SendGrid and Gmail: email
  • Spotify: public artist profiles and music
  • Geoapify: place names for a post’s location

Our servers are in the United States, so your information is handled there.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, and you can tell us to stop emailing you. Write to hello@youapp.vip. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California, the rights the CCPA gives you are the same ones, and we will not treat you differently for using them.

Security

We keep your information on secure, access-controlled systems, and only the people who need it to run YouApp can see it.

Children

YouApp is for people 13 and older. If you think a child under 13 has an account, write to hello@youapp.vip and we will delete it.

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account in the app or on the web. In an artist’s app or on the artist’s web page, Settings → Delete account deletes your account in that app only; your YouApp account and your accounts in other apps are not affected. In the YouApp app, or in the account menu on youapp.vip, Delete YouApp account deletes your YouApp account and your accounts in every artist’s app.

When you ask, you are signed out at once and the deletion completes seven days later. If you sign in again before then, the deletion is canceled and nothing is removed. After seven days your profile, photo, messages, likes, preferences and devices are deleted for good.

Some records stay. Comments you posted remain, shown as “Deleted fan”. Records of payments and subscriptions remain with your name and email removed, because they are the artist’s accounts and ours. Records of agreements you accepted, and our security and audit logs, remain as well. Deleted information may stay in our backups for up to fourteen days, after which it is gone.

An account that runs an artist’s app - the artist’s own, their team’s, or a client’s - cannot be deleted from the app. Write to hello@youapp.vip and we will do it with you.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we change the date at the top. If a change matters to how we use your information, we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
